In aesthetic medicine, it is important to preserve naturalness and create natural outlines. Lip contouring is aimed at changing the size and shape of the lips.

Before the surgery, we perform a lip exam, which allows us to see the location of the vessels and avoid trauma. The surgery is performed using the method of surgical removal of excess skin.

Thanks to this operation the lips get the maximum natural volume and a beautiful natural shape.

Consultation

A consultation with Edgar Kaminsky takes place at the KAMINSKY CLINIC

Stages:
  • Examination of the patient, discussion of strategies and goals of surgery
  • Photo and video fixation of the "preoperative" state
  • 2D modeling of the result
  • Discussion of the duration of surgery and rehabilitation period
  • Discussion of surgical technique and anesthesia support

Operation

On average, the operation lasts 40-60 minutes.

The surgery can be performed both under local anesthesia and general anesthesia. A sutureless technique is used. During the operation, a specialized glue is used that joins the sutures together. There is no bruising after the surgery.

The presence of hyaluronic acid in the lips is not a contraindication to cheiloplasty. The result after surgery is lifelong.

Technique

An upper cheiloplasty is performed by excising the areas of skin between the upper lip and nose to fill in insufficient volume.

Lower cheiloplasty is performed in two ways: by excising the mucosa inside the mouth or by excising the skin along the edge of the lower lip.

Tissue transpositions help change the natural or age-altered shape of the lips, rejuvenating them by providing volume.

Rehabilitation

The rehabilitation period varies from 1 to 10 days, depending on the complexity of the operation and the individual characteristics of the body. The simpler and faster the surgery, the shorter the rehabilitation period.

Full recovery in 2 months. After surgery, the patient spends a few hours in the clinic and can go home.

During rehabilitation, it is very important to follow all the doctor's recommendations, take medications, and not to miss scheduled visits.
