Consultation

Everything starts with a consultation. Edgar Kaminsky listens to the client's wishes, assesses the vision of beauty and analyzes the data of computer tomography, makes 2D / 3D analysis and simulation of the future shape of the nose based on the patient's wishes and technical, anatomical capabilities.

The duration of this consultation is 60 minutes.

After the consultation is completed, a surgery date can be selected. The client receives information about laboratory tests, preparation for anesthesia, and other important details.

Before the consultation, the client gets acquainted with the legal documentation.

Technique

Rhinoplasty is performed by a closed preserving technique without external incisions. This technique preserves important ligaments and muscles, without traumatizing important bone structures and external incisions, using 3D technology and micropiles. No tampons are used. The nose breathes after surgery. Tapes are used instead of a nasal fixation device.

In order to get as close as possible to the simulated result during surgery, all patients undergo a facial skull scan with full analysis of soft and hard structures. The facial model is printed on a 3D printer, which allows important preparation steps for surgery and simulation of changes.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation lasts 7 days, with no bruising or swelling.

Edgar Kaminsky uses a technique that does not require a standard fixator. Tapes are used after the surgery.

You can remove the latch yourself at home, just wet it with water on day 8-10 after surgery.

On the second day after surgery, you are fully able to work. There is no bruising or swelling. There is no need to remove stitches.

HOW DOES THE OPERATION GO?

The operating room is located in the Harmony Clinic (8 N. Pimonenko St., Kiev). The operating room is equipped and designed according to the standards of German clinics. WHAT CAN AND CAN'T BE DONE AFTER RHINOPLASTY?

You can take a shower from the day after surgery, but in such a way that the water does not get on your nose. It is forbidden to take a hot bath for 4 weeks after the operation. For the first week, it is recommended to wash your hair with your head tilted back in order not to get the tapes wet. Sports are allowed in 2 weeks after surgery, but the load should be increased gradually to avoid swelling of the face and nose injuries. Jumping into water, contact sports are excluded for the first 6 months. You can go to work the next day. The decision is based on how you feel. You can drive the next day. The baby can be carried in your arms immediately after surgery. If you feel heavy - put it down. You can not bend over to the baby for the first two weeks. You can plan a pregnancy immediately after surgery. There are no contraindications. By the time of delivery the nose will fully recover. Flights of up to 4 hours are allowed on the second day after surgery. More than 4 hours - 4 days after surgery. You can have sex, but be careful not to traumatize your nose and not to have swelling of the face. Smoking is undesirable (it slows down the healing process). If you smoke, it is advisable to minimize the number of cigarettes you consume per day for a week before the operation and for two weeks afterwards. After surgery you should sleep with your head and shoulders slightly elevated for 3 weeks. ⠀ The flesh-colored tapes are removed on day 7-10 after surgery. You can wash your face from the first day (water must not get on the fixing tapes). Do not drink alcohol, spicy and salty foods in the first 10 days after surgery. Obligatory visits to the doctor: after 7 days, after a month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year from the date of surgery.

TAPES

Edgar Kaminsky uses the technique of closed rhinoplasty, which does not require a fixator. After the surgery, flesh-colored tapes are used. The tapes tighten the skin, thereby reducing swelling and speeding up the rehabilitation process. The tapes can be periodically removed during the day, but must be put on at night. People who have thick skin on the nose should preferably wear tapes for two weeks.
